My name is Kimberly Lopez (Kim, she/her), and I am a 2nd/3rd generation Mexican American creative and intuitive. Growing up in a very Catholic household with 13 years of Catholic school under my belt, my childhood consisted of attempting to balance a curiosity for all things witchy and magical (my formative years were in the '90s after all) and the familial and cultural pressure to uphold a "good Catholic girl" persona. During school, I would ask my religion teacher questions about when and how God came to be. After school, I would prowl the esoteric stacks at the public library to see what books I could try to sneak home.

The last 10 years have seen an evolution of my childhood curiosities and led me to create The Astral Priory in 2021. A sort of hub to allow these interests to grow and morph into whatever they needed to. It all began with first offering Akashic Records readings, and then fate leading me to discover the world of Dream Tending in 2022. As someone who has lived my life in the memory of endless vivid and often disturbing dreams and nightmares, Dream Tending felt like a homecoming. It’s the field that makes me most excited to work with, and that I feel has the power to bring incredible transformation.

In non-witchy/magical parts of my life, I have a Bachelor of Arts in Textiles and Clothing and a certificate in Collections Management for Garments and Textiles. I have a love for beautiful and old things and welcome any opportunities where I can work creatively. Be that in fashion, costume, non-fiber art like painting, dance, etc.
